Tour Perth including the impressive wholesale produce market and time to enjoy the spring gardens and walkways of Kings Park.

Visit a world renowned grain receival complex built to handle the West’s huge grain harvests – it’s Australia’s largest co-operative and the nation’s second largest business.

A full day to enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Kalbarri National Park – known for its spectacular red rock gorges that were cut from the landscape by the mighty Murchison River and where 800 species of wildflowers burst into bloom between July and October each year.

Visit a large farming property that has adopted the latest techniques in sustainable total cropping, deep ripping and controlled traffic management to prevent soil compaction. Mullewa is well known as one of the few places in Western Australia where the wreath flower grows.

Stop in New Norcia, Australia’s only monastic town founded in 1847 by Spanish Benedictine monks, 

visit to one of the most successful producers of Cambinata Yabbies, (a unique freshwater crustacean). Cambinata operates Australia’s largest yabby processing plant, supplying product to some of WA’s finest restaurants, as well as exporting to the US, Europe and Asia.

visit one of the most impressive Gelbvieh cattle studs in the country with time to inspect livestock and management systems.Tour the former Whaling Station, where lunch will be, visit the Wind farm and a local whisky distillery.

 

Itinerary

Day 1 Perth

Depart India and fly to Perth International Airport. After entry formalities, meet your Australian tour manager, who will welcome you to W.A. Transfer to coastal Fremantle and get to know your companions over a welcome dinner in the hotel.

Day 2 Around Perth

Tour Perth including the impressive wholesale produce market and time to enjoy the spring gardens and walkways of Kings Park. Enjoy lunch here overlooking the Swan river, before taking a relaxing cruise on the river back to Fremantle with time to explore and enjoy the laidback atmosphere of Fremantle.

Day 3 Perth - Cervantes

Just out of Perth, visit a world renowned grain receival complex built to handle the West’s huge grain harvests – it’s Australia’s largest co-operative and the nation’s second largest business. Depart northwards through the Swan and Avon Valleys to the spectacular Pinnacles Desert where you can walk amongst these curious features. Continue to the small fishing town of Cervantes and enjoy a seafood barbecue tonight.

Day 4 Cervantes - Kalbarri

Travel north following the coast and visiting a family run olive enterprise. Continue to Geraldton and visit the world’s largest crayfish processing plant – perhaps coinciding with deliveries of the morning’s catch. After a seaside lunch, travel on to Kalbarri – a relaxing coastal town situated at the mouth of the Murchison River. Take a stroll on the white sands of Kalbarri beach where the Indian Ocean sunsets are quite something.

Day 5 Kalbarri National Park

A full day to enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Kalbarri National Park – known for its spectacular red rock gorges that were cut from the landscape by the mighty Murchison River and where 800 species of wildflowers burst into bloom between July and October each year. You’ll have time to walk and enjoy the amazing spring blooms at several points in the Park. Return to nearby Kalbarri township for a free evening.

Day 6 Kalbarri - Dalwallinu

Today head south-east through bush country interspersed with wheat and grain to Mullewa for lunch at a typical Australian country pub. During the morning, visit a large farming property that has adopted the latest techniques in sustainable total cropping, deep ripping and controlled traffic management to prevent soil compaction. Mullewa is well known as one of the few places in Western Australia where the wreath flower grows. In the afternoon a visit to one of the National Parks to see the wreath flower for yourself! Continue driving through the wheatbelt region to Dalwallinu for the night.

Day 7 Wheatbelt Region - York

This morning travel through mixed farming country (sheep and wheat) before a visit through a nearby hay-processing plant where hay is exported both domestically and internationally. Stop in New Norcia, Australia’s only monastic town founded in 1847 by Spanish Benedictine monks, then continue on into the Avon Valley for an overnight stay in the historic town of York.

Day 8 York - Kukerin

Today travel again through mixed farming country of livestock and broad acre cropping. Visit a cropping enterprise at Pingelly and discuss hay production and cropping practice in this area. After a pub lunch in this area, visit the Albert Facey Homestead and then the Tarin Rock Wildflower reserve. After this a visit to one of the most successful producers of Cambinata Yabbies, (a unique freshwater crustacean). Cambinata operates Australia’s largest yabby processing plant, supplying product to some of WA’s finest restaurants, as well as exporting to the US, Europe and Asia. Dinner tonight will be an opportunity to try this delicacy!

Day 9 Kukerin - Albany

Travel southwards through mostly mixed farming for livestock as well as broad acre cropping. Visit a prime lamb and sheep breeding operation where you will see some impressive Merino, Dorper and other rams. Heading South, lunch today will be at West Cape Howe Winery, one of Australia’s premier wine makers. This afternoon visit one of the most impressive Gelbvieh cattle studs in the country with time to inspect livestock and management systems. Continue to the historic port city of Albany (W.A.’s first settlement), to check-in to your hotel for a two night stay.

Day 10 Albany

A leisurely day touring around Albany which will feature stunning coastlines including “the Gap”, the Light Horse Memorial and the excellent (newly opened) ANZAC Centre. Also tour the former Whaling Station, where lunch will be, visit the Wind farm and a local whisky distillery. Return to Albany later for second evening.

Day 11 Pemberton - Busselton

Depart westwards, with a shopping stop in Denmark, and then onto the spectacular Valley of the Giants with elevated walkways throught the treetops. Lunch at Walpole then travel through the beautiful Karri forests to a robotic dairy at Northcliffe, and an avocado farm at Pemberton. After this we head through excellent temperate pastures suitable for both dairy and beef cattle. Arrive into the town of Busselton to check in to your resort for two nights.

Day 12 Busselton

Visit nearby Cape Leeuwin National Park to see the meeting place of the Indian and Southern Oceans. Then travel a short distance northwards into the famous wine region of Margaret River and looking at the many excellent added- value farming and horticulture enterprises eg cheese, venison and even a chocolate factory! Also visit a leading woodworker’s gallery followed by lunch and a tasting at one of the world class vineyards that engender so much praise. Enjoy a farewell dinner tonight – naturally ending the day with a sample of the fine local wines!

Day 13 Busselton - Perth - India

Enjoy a tram trip along the famous Busselton jetty, one of the longest in Australia, with an underwater viewing station. Then depart for Perth for a late afternoon check in at Perth International Airport for your direct overnight flight to India (arrive into India).

    •         Travel Insurance and Meals other than those not specified in the above “cost includes”.
    •         Any expenses of Personal nature such as Mini bar items, Optional Tours, laundry, telephone calls, tips & gratuity, mineral water, soft & hard drinks, rafting, rock climbing, paragliding, joy ride (Toy Train), portage etc not forming the part of the given itinerary.
    •         Entrance Fees & Guide charges, until not included in “Cost Includes”.
    •         Any cost arising due to natural calamities such as, landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), flight delays, on tour changes etc (to be borne by the client, which is directly payable on the spot).
    •         Any increase in taxes or fuel price OR seasonal surcharges (due to festival / events at the place of visit), leading to increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to departure.
