Morocco

Norway is a Scandinavian country encompassing mountains, glaciers, and deep coastal fjords. Oslo, the capital, is a city of green spaces and museums. Preserved 9th-century Viking ships are displayed at Oslo’s Viking Ship Museum. Bergen, with colorful wooden houses, is the starting point for cruises to the dramatic Sognefjord. Norway is also known for fishing, hiking, and skiing, notably at Lillehammer’s Olympic resort.

Walking holidays in Morocco to delight the senses

Morocco walking tours are perfect if you would like easy point-to-point treks along quiet trails through the Middle Atlas, or day walks from our rustic gîte in the High Atlas. If you’re up for a challenge, why not summit North Africa’s highest peak, Mount Toubkal (4167m).

From gentle walking to peak bagging, Berber fortresses to bustling bazaars, the wonderful sights and sounds of North Africa will appeal to discerning walkers and trekkers alike.

How our walking holidays in Morocco are graded

Mighty peaks, enchanting coastline, memorable encounters with wonderful people, and fantastic value for money – these are just a few of the reasons why at DTravco we’re in love with the magical gateway to Africa, Morocco. All of our adventures start and finish in the heady capital of Marrakech, and from there it’s just a short hop away to delve into a rich variety of landscapes. Head to the mountains and stand on the highest point in northern Africa and climb Mount Toubkal – a challenge you can achieve trekking in the High Atlas region of Morocco in August, or as the perfect intro to mountaineering adventure in the winter. Just beyond these rugged peaks, you’ll find the beginnings of the world’s largest desert, where you can trek along the edge and camp amongst dunes on an adventure into the Sahara. Whether it’s walking along the undiscovered Atlantic Coast to the port of Essaouira, or hiking in the rocky desert world of the Jebel Sahro, Morocco will never fail to offer travelers a dazzling combination of rich culture and far-flung adventure.
