Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Chennai

Upon arrival at Chennai Airport, DTravco representative will receive you with warm welcome and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 02: Chennai

After breakfast at the hotel embark on sightseeing tour in Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu state. Major attractions include Kapaleeshwarar Temple, Parthasarathy Temple, Government Museum, Ripon Building, Victoria Public Hall, National Art Gallery, and Marina Beach. Marina Beach is the second largest urban beach in the world. There are several historical monuments and memorials at and around the beach. On time get back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 03: Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram

Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel and then drive to Kanchipuram, a holy and historic city of Tamil Nadu known for temples, monuments, and silk. Visit the Kailasanathar Temple, the oldest temple in Kanchi. Later proceed to see other temples and monuments such as Kamakshi Amman Temple, Kumarakottam Temple, Varadharaja Perumal Temple, Ekambareswarar Temple, Muktheeswarar Temple, Thiru Parameswara Vinnagaram (also called Vaikunta Perumal Temple), and Thiruparthikundram Jain Temple. There are many more architecturally beautiful and religiously important temples in Kanchipuram which attract the visitors and pilgrims. You may buy hand woven silk sarees from local markets of Kanchipuram as the town is a traditional center of silk weaving and handloom industries for producing world famous Kanchipuram sarees. Later, drive to Mahabalipuram, a historical beach town Tamil Nadu, known for the group of monuments, UNESCO World Heritage Monuments. On reaching Mahabalipuram check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04: Mahabalipuram

Take delicious and delightful breakfast at the hotel. Then embark on sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram, also called Mamallapuram. The town is known for group of rock-cut cave sanctuaries and temples built during the period of 7th century and 8th century. Main attraction include Rathas (temples in the form of chariots), Krishna Cave Temple (Krishna Mandapam), Mahishasuramardini Cave Temple, Varaha Cave Temple, Trimurti Cave Temple, Kotikal Cave Temple, Tiger Cave Temple, Atiranachanda Cave Temple, Panchapandava Cave Temple, Descent of the Ganges (Arjuna’s Penance), and the most famous Shore Temple. These all temples and monuments are parts of the Group of Monuments at Mahabalipuram, declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later in the evening relax at the beach and see the wonderful view of sunset over the sea. On time get back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 05: Mahabalipuram - Departure from Chennai

Check out from the hotel in Mahabalipuram and leave for Chennai. Enjoy last minute shopping at bazaars and markets of the city. On time get assisted transfer to the Chennai Airport by DTravco representative. Board flight for your onward journey. Tour ends.

COST EXCLUDES:

 

  1.       Air Fare / Train fare with taxes until specified in the Cost Inclusions.
  2.       COVID test costs, if required by the destination of your visit.
  3.       Vehicles quoted in the package will only cover Sightseeing / Places as mentioned in the itinerary and are not at Disposal, until specified. Extra usage of vehicles other than sightseeing mentioned in the Inclusion, will be charged extra.
  4.       Travel Insurance and Meals other than those not specified in the above “cost includes”.
  5.       Any expenses of Personal nature such as Mini bar items, Optional Tours, laundry, telephone calls, tips & gratuity, mineral water, soft & hard drinks, rafting, rock climbing, paragliding, joy ride (Toy Train), portage etc not forming the part of the given itinerary.
  6.       Entrance Fees & Guide charges, until not included in “Cost Includes”.
  7.       Any cost arising due to natural calamities such as landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), flight delays, on tour changes etc (to be borne by the client, which is directly payable on the spot).
  8.       Any increase in taxes or fuel price OR seasonal surcharges (due to festivals / events at the place of visit), leading to increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect prior to departure. 
  9.       Any on-tour changes / last minute changes while on tour, will be charged extra. Applicable cancellations will be levied in case of last minute cancellations as per hotel policy.
  10.       5.00% Govt. Service Tax.
  11.       Anything which is not mentioned in Cost Inclusions.

The car offered in the tour is not at disposal, it will cover points as per the itinerary and for any deviation, the cost of extra Kms needs to be settled directly with the driver on tour itself.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES :

 

  1.       Standard Check in time for major Hotels is 1200hrs and Check out time is 1100hrs. And the rooms quoted unless specified are all based on Standard category Rooms by default and until it is specified in the above “cost includes”.
  2.       If at all the given hotel is not available then a hotel at par will be offered.
  3.       The above quote is based on as of date pricing. Any increase in the airfare / hotel cost due to seasonality, tax change, availability on the date of confirmation – will be duly charged. 
  4.       For the confirmation of tour package, we would require a minimum deposit of 30% of the total tour cost quoted to you, balance to be settled at least 15 Days prior to your departure, thereafter the clearance of payments – accordingly the confirmation vouchers will be handed over to you upon receiving 100% payments.
  5.       Prices are valid for the stated travel period and are of defined validity, any change in the dates or number of passengers will lead to re-costing.
