Itinerary

Day 1

Meet and greet at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by our representative and receive a short introduction and briefing about your safari.

After briefing you will depart from the lodge and exit the park and be driven to the naturally heated spa pool; Lake Bogoria, which is also an alkaline lake and home to flamingos and hot springs/geysers which emit hot vapor from the core of the earth.

 You will spend time at the park and break for lunch at the Panari Spa Resort. Spend the afternoon at the shores of the lake.  Lunch, dinner, and breakfast at Lake Bogoria Spa Resort. 

Day 2

Today after breakfast, you will depart to the Mara Reserve, home to the big five and numerous plains game. You will arrive in time for check-in and lunch before departing for afternoon game drives.  Optional activities include hot air balloon safari, guided nature walks, bush lunch/dinner/breakfast, bird walks, and evening sundowner.  All meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge. 

Day 3 :

Take an extensive full day game drive into the reserve covered with rolling grasslands dotted with acacia and hazy forested hills and Riverline bush where the Mara River and its tributaries meander, Maasai Mara is considered by many to be Kenya’s finest game reserve, the 1510 sq Kms of this reserve adjoin Tanzania’s well-known Serengeti, forming one eco-system.

The open rolling savannah grassland of the Mara is the home of numerous wildlife species including elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, jackal, buffalo, eland, topis, impala, gazelle, warthog, and zebra.

From June to October, the annual Wildebeest migration takes place when thousands of these animals sweep across the plains and seek out new grazing areas, a full day game drive with picnic lunch at the hippo pool on the banks of the Mara River was the crossing of the Gnus [wildebeests] takes place while the killer crocodiles await will be the best experience ever.  All meals and overnight at All meals and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge.

Day 4

Today after breakfast, you will have a visit to the Maasai Village to learn about Maasai culture and traditions in this very special village experience,  the first of their kind in the Masai Mara.  This followed by a game drive, back to the hotel for lunch, and an afternoon game drive. All meals and overnight at All meals and overnight Mara Sopa Lodge.  

Day 5 :

After breakfast, a mid-morning game drive then leaves for Lake Naivasha which is the highest Lake in The Rift Valley arriving late afternoon.  Lake Naivasha is famous in the 1930s as a staging post for Imperial Airways Flying Boat Services from Durban to London and you can see the Lake sparkling in the sun thousands of feet below. 

Proceed to the Sopa Lodge for lunch followed by a boat ride in the afternoon and if time allows we can a visit to the Hell’s Gate National Park past Fishers Tower will be ideal. The small perimeters of the park give you a chance to see a variety of wildlife.  Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.

Day 6 :

Today after breakfast, you will depart for Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain; Kilimanjaro is one of Kenya’s most popular national parks arriving in good time for lunch with an afternoon game drive. It lies 150 miles southeast of Nairobi, very close to the Tanzania border. The snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the clouds dominates every aspect of Amboseli and the Observation Hill which allows an overall view of the whole park especially the swamps and elephants.  Dinner and overnight Amboseli Sopa Lodge. 

Day 7 :

Full day in Amboseli with a full day game drives with picnic lunch, optional returning in the camp for hot lunch, another game drive at 1600 hrs. Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain; Kilimanjaro, is one of Kenya’s most popular national parks.  Maasai village visit will be ideal on this day in the afternoon.  All meals and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge. 

Day 8

Early morning game viewing before breakfast, breakfast, you will drive back to Nairobi with an early dinner at a local Indian Restaurant before airport transfer for your flight back home. 

Inclusions/Exclusions

COST INCLUDES :

  1.       Breakfast at all places and Meals as per described on the Itinerary
  2.       Accommodation on Twin Sharing basis at the Hotels mentioned or Similar
  3.       Sightseeing as per Itinerary.
  4.       All Currently applicable taxes.      

 

 

Exclusions for all tours

  •         Air Fare / Train fare with taxes until specified in the Cost Inclusions.
  •         COVID test costs, if required by the destination of your visit.
  •         Vehicles quoted in the package will only cover Sightseeing / Places as mentioned in the itinerary and is not at Disposal until specified. Extra usage of vehicles other than sightseeing mentioned in the Inclusion, will be charged extra.
  •         Travel Insurance and Meals other than those not specified in the above “cost includes”.
  •         Any expenses of personal nature such as Minibar items, Optional Tours, laundry, telephone calls, tips & gratuity, mineral water, soft & hard drinks, rafting, rock climbing, paragliding, joy ride (Toy Train), portage, etc not forming the part of the given itinerary.
  •         Entrance Fees & Guide charges, until not included in “Cost Includes”.
  •         Any cost arising due to natural calamities such as, landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), flight delays, on tour changes, etc (to be borne by the client, which is directly payable on the spot).
  •         Any increase in taxes or fuel price OR seasonal surcharges (due to festival/events at the place of visit), leading to an increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect before departure. 
  •         Any on-tour changes/last-minute changes while on tour will be charged extra. Applicable cancellations will be levied in case of last-minute cancellations as per hotel policy.
  •         5.00% Govt. Service Tax
  •         5.00% TCS as applicable (as per Government Regulations)
  •         Anything which is not mentioned in Cost Inclusions.

Terms and Conditions 

  1. All bookings must be made and confirmed in writing at least 30 days before
  2. A deposit of 50% must be made upon booking and balance payments must be made in full on/before the day of arrival. All payments should be made by bank transfer (TT).
  3. All cancellations must be made in writing and confirmed at least 60 days before departure. No refund will be made if cancellation is made after this
  4. In the event of bad weather and the whole/part of the tour has to be canceled, DTravco will communicate with the local agency directly on possible changes that can be made to the tour. Any other arrangements will be subjected to discussions and
  5. DTravco has the final say on the itinerary and has the right to make changes to the itinerary where necessary due to weather and road

Due to the nature of Iceland’s unique and changing landscape, please read the following carefully.

The flexibility of itinerary:

Although the detailed itinerary has been provided after careful planning, it can still be changed due to unforeseen circumstances. The change could be as small as just simply bring our guest to a special restaurant to experience some unique local food or it could be an entire change to a day’s schedule. Changes are only made out of necessity and with the best interest of our guests in mind. Also, we do not give any promise that you will get to see all the locations, plants, and animals mentioned in the itinerary.

Unforeseen circumstances and emergencies:

Any changes to tour or itinerary due to local policies change, extreme weathers, natural disasters, traffic congestion, natural migrations of animals, closure due to maintenance or repair of locations, strikes, changes in holiday/festival, local culture, overbooking, flights delay/cancellation, and/or other reasons not listed and not within the control of our agency, fees and top-ups that arise as a result of above mentioned, guests are to bear these costs. Personal accidents are to be covered by travel insurance. Operators and partners of this tour will do their best to minimize any potential losses that might occur from the tour. We seek your kind understanding.

Expectations:

Pictures shown might not be the same as those taken by guests due to the difference in weather, equipment, and skill. The difference in season will also showcase a different landscape. As most of the locations in Iceland are natural and naturally changing, pictures taken at different times will naturally not be the same.  Accommodations are also subjected to changes depending on availability at the time of booking.

Limitations:

Children 3 years old and above who require an individual bed pay the same price as a child with a bed (7-12). Guests are to be responsible for their own safety and health conditions during the tour.
