At the beginning of the hike in Coastal Dunes National Park, a short drive will take you to Masseria in Coastal Dunes National Park. On foot, through small farms and forests, we drove to Ostuni. Lecce. Today, you are driving on a gravel road leading to the sea. Stop at a local farm to taste extra virgin olive oil and visit an underground oil factory. Otranto takes public transportation to Otranto and spends the day in and around the easternmost city in Italy. Take time to visit the famous abandoned bauxite quarry or Blue Lake.

Itinerary

Day 1 :- Matera

Fly to Bari airport and make your way to Matera. Your tour will start at your accommodation in Matera, the famous ‘City of Rocks’. Take some time to explore or relax at your hotel.

 

Day 2 :- Matera & Park of Rock churches

Walking into the ravine and up to Murgia Timone, you will visit the Natural Park of the Rock Churches. Take in the stunning panoramic views and cave churches before taking some time to explore Matera.

Day 3 :- Alberobello

Following along the greenway of the Puglia Aqueduct, you will walk to Locorotondo. Make sure you have time to explore the town before taking public transport to your next accommodation in Alberobello.

Walking distance: 14 km | Ascent: 140 m | Descent: 140 m

Day 4 :- Martina Franca

Today you will walk to Martina Franca. You will see incredible views of the ‘Bosco Selva’, the ‘green heart of the area and a rare example of the vast oak forest that once covered the surrounding area.

Walking distance: 17 km | Ascent: 130 m | Descent: 130 m

 

Day 5 :- Coastal Dunes National Park

You will take a short transfer to Masseria in the Natural Park of Coastal Dunes for the start of your walk. Walking past small farms and forests, make your way to Ostuni.

Walking distance: 12 km | Ascent: 160 m | Descent: 70 m

Day 6 :- Lecce

Today you will head along gravel roads towards the sea. Stopping at a local farm, sample some extra virgin olive oil, and visit the underground oil mill.

Walking distance: 7 km | Ascent: 10 m | Descent: 140 m

Day 7 :- Otranto

Taking public transport to Otranto, spend the day in and around Italy’s most easterly city. Make some time to visit the famous, abandoned bauxite quarry or Blue Lake.

Walking distance: 8 km | Ascent: 80 m | Descent: 80 m

Day 8

Your tour finishes at your accommodation after breakfast. Make your way to Bari airport for your return on the onward flight.

    •         Vehicles quoted in the package will only cover Sightseeing / Places as mentioned in the itinerary and is not at Disposal until specified. Extra usage of vehicles other than sightseeing mentioned in the Inclusion, will be charged extra.
    •         Travel Insurance and Meals other than those not specified in the above “cost includes”.
    •         Any expenses of personal nature such as Minibar items, Optional Tours, laundry, telephone calls, tips & gratuity, mineral water, soft & hard drinks, rafting, rock climbing, paragliding, joy ride (Toy Train), portage, etc not forming the part of the given itinerary.
    •         Entrance Fees & Guide charges, until not included in “Cost Includes”.
    •         Any cost arising due to natural calamities such as, landslides, road blockage, political disturbances (strikes), flight delays, on tour changes, etc (to be borne by the client, which is directly payable on the spot).
    •         Any increase in taxes or fuel price OR seasonal surcharges (due to festival/events at the place of visit), leading to an increase in cost on surface transportation & land arrangements, which may come into effect before departure. 
    •         Any on-tour changes/last-minute changes while on tour will be charged extra. Applicable cancellations will be levied in case of last-minute cancellations as per hotel policy.
    •         5.00% Govt. Service Tax
    •         5.00% TCS as applicable (as per Government Regulations)
    •         Anything which is not mentioned in Cost Inclusions.
